Project on garbage disposal factory in Duyen Hai is accepted to build on 7 hectares. 3.5 hectares were cleared and Department of Natural Resource and Environment invested infrastructure on over 1hectare. Now people in Duyen Hai are using this place to dump rubbish. Mr. Tran Khieu – Chairman of Tra Vinh People’s Committee agreed to use 7 hectares to build garbage disposal factory in hamlet 12, Long Huu commune and Tan Sinh Viet Co., Ltd is responsible for building. He also accepted suggestion of Department of Natural Resource and Environment that Duyen Hai’s people keep using the 1 hectare area to dump garbage. For capital, he agreed to use 30% extracted source from Duyen Hai, Cau Ngang and Tra Cu Land Development Fund in 3 years (2010, 2011, and 2012). The province will support compensation and resettlement in building hard garbage disposal factory in Duyen Hai, Cau Ngang and Tra Cu in the coming time.

With the aim of solving garbage and urban waste, project on Duyen Hai garbage disposal factory in hamlet 12, Long Huu commune will use An Sinh technology which have designed capacity of 100-150 tons/day and buried rate is under 20%. Tan Sinh Viet Co., Ltd is the investor with capital of 295 billion VND and the work will be conducted in 2012-2013. The factory is expected to be finished and put into operation in the second quarter of 2014.
